El próximo 27 de septiembre se celebra en todo el mundo el Cassette Store Day, dando continuidad a la iniciativa surgida el año pasado, ampliando ahora su ratio de acción a los dos lados del Atlántico. Y es que este año el CSD estará coordinado en paralelo por Burger Records en Estados Unidos y Kissability y Suplex Cassettes en Europa, una iniciativa pues que pretende alcanzar un cariz global, y que contará con los citados embajadores a ambos lados del océano.
La implicación tanto de Burger Records como de Kissability y Suplex Cassettes servirá para ampliar la repercusión de la propuesta, que contó ya con lanzamientos interesantes el año pasado, gracias a las aportaciones de nombres como The Flaming Lips, At The Drive In o Deerhunter, entre otras propuestas.
En la página web del evento pueden consultarse los lanzamientos confirmados tanto en Europa como en Estados Unidos, y lo cierto es que la lista es de peso. La lista provisional -las confirmaciones pueden realizarse desde la página web del CSD hasta mañana viernes- incluye nombres como Foxygen, Vivian Girls -Polyvinyl Records reedita en dicho formato su Share The Joy- Fear Of Men o The Rural Alberta Adventage, entre muchos otros. La lista europea incluye lanzamientos y reediciones de Cloud Nothings o Fair Ohs, entre otros.
